1. General Information

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made through the website Black Velvet. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Black Velvet operates as an independent sole trader based in Portugal.

 

2. Products

All items sold by Black Velvet are vintage and one-of-a-kind.
This means:

• Each piece is unique

• Once sold, the same item cannot be restocked

Please read product descriptions carefully, including measurements and condition notes, before purchasing.

 

3. Product Condition

Vintage items may show signs of wear consistent with their age.
Any significant flaws will be described and/or shown in photos.

Minor imperfections are part of the character of vintage clothing and are not considered defects.

 

4. Pricing

All prices are listed in EUR (€).

Black Velvet operates under the Portuguese small business tax regime.
VAT is not applied, unless otherwise stated.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are not included in product prices.

 

5. Orders & Payment

Orders are processed once full payment has been received.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of:

• Incorrect pricing

• Suspected fraud

• Stock availability errors

If an order is cancelled, any payment received will be refunded.

 

6. Shipping

Black Velvet ships from Portugal to selected European countries.

Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only and may vary depending on the destination and courier.

We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or external factors beyond our control.

 

7. Returns & Store Credit

Due to the unique nature of our products, returns are accepted only in the form of store credit.

Conditions for returns:

• The item must be returned within 14 days of delivery

• The item must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition

• The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs

Once the return is approved, a store credit voucher will be issued.
Refunds to the original payment method are not offered.

 

8. Exchanges

Direct exchanges are not guaranteed due to the one-of-a-kind nature of vintage items.
Store credit may be used for future purchases, subject to availability.

 

9. Lost or Damaged Parcels

Black Velvet is not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged parcels once they have been handed over to the courier.

If an issue occurs, we will assist the customer in opening a claim with the shipping provider where possible.

 

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images and text, is the property of Black Velvet and may not be used without prior written consent.

 

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Portugal.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
